About 2 weeks ago, pap casually told me that his foot has been hurting for a while because he accidentally kicked something.  I completely forgot about it until Ipiep mentioned it to me again last week.

I asked pap if there was a resolution with the twisted ankle.  He said no.  I asked him if it was swollen, he said no.  But when I inspected it, it was very obvious that it was swollen.  I’m not sure why he thought it wasn’t swollen.  I told him we would have to see the doctor, since the swelling hasn’t been better for 3 weeks, and I suggested he took Advil.  Pap of course didn’t want to take “drugs”.

We were lucky to get a fairly quick appointment.  We went to see dr. Lin today to get checked out.  The dr. determined that it didn’t seem like anything was broken.  He suggested cold compress and tylenol.

Pap also took this opportunity to revisit his skin problem and asked for a dermatologist referral.

The doctor on the other hand, took this opportunity to get pap screened for colon cancer.  He tried to sell colonoscopy, which pap chickened out last time.  They settled for a home stool test.
