First services on Medicare

I took pap for a blood test on 7/17.  This would be the first service we use under Medicare.  Seemed to be no problem.  They didn’t ask for money at all (usually there’s a $5 co-pay).  Good sign?

Then on 7/18, I picked up pap’s skin medication.  At first, they couldn’t find the order (I ordered it the day before using the automated phone system).  The clerk said somehow the order was re-routed to be reviewed and it’s at Downey.  But she told me that she would fill the prescription within 10 minutes.  So I just waited and got it in 10 minutes.  I wondered what the Downey is all about.
